You are investing in Google Ads. Your campaign is active. But you don't see clicks, calls, or forms.
The reason?
Your ad isn't capturing the right attention.
Today I'm going to show you how to improve your ads so that more people click and turn into real customers, not just empty views.
Your ad is active, but it's not generating clicks
One of the most common mistakes we see at Fresa Marketing is this:
“My ad is showing, but no one is seeing it or no one is clicking.”
Has this happened to you?
You invest in advertising, and Google shows you that the ad had impressions (meaning it appeared in searches), but people aren't clicking.
This can make you feel like your money is being wasted.
And the worst part is, if no one visits your page, you can't generate sales.
You're paying to appear, but not for results
The real problem isn't appearing, it's about attracting the right attention. If your ad doesn't look attractive, clear, or relevant, people will simply ignore it.
And when that happens, Google notices.
The result?
Your ad drops in ranking
You start paying more for each click
Google shows your ad less and less
It's like having a billboard on Via España... but with blurry letters that no one can read. You're there, but you don't generate an impact.
How to make your Google ads generate clicks
You don't need to be a professional copywriter to improve your ads. You just need to apply these key principles:
1. Use titles that talk about a direct benefit
Your customer isn't looking for “the best service.”
Your customer is looking for clear solutions to their problem.
Examples:
“Dentist in San Miguelito - Cleaning for $29.99”
“Labor Lawyer in Panama - Free Consultation”
“Community Manager Panama - Increase Your Online Sales”
This type of titles grab attention because they address the customer's direct pain or need.
2. Add an offer or incentive
Ads that offer something concrete generate more clicks.
Offers that work well:
“First appointment FREE”
“50% off your first service”
“Today only: 2x1 on executive lunches”
This creates urgency and motivates action.
According to WordStream, ads with specific offers increase the CTR (click-through rate) by up to 50%.
3. Use local keywords in your ad
If your business is in Panama, your ad should clearly state it.
Example:
Don't say: “Accounting for SMEs”
Instead say: “Accounting for SMEs in Panama - 100% Online Service”
This tells Google (and the user) that your business is indeed relevant for that local search.
4. Add a clear call to action (CTA)
At the end of each ad, tell the user what to do:
“Schedule your appointment today”
“Call now and get your free diagnosis”
“Contact us via WhatsApp and receive your proposal”
This not only improves clicks, but increases conversions (calls, forms, sales).
5. Check your ad's CTR
The CTR (Click Through Rate) is the most important metric to know if your ad is working.
A good CTR for Google Ads for local businesses can range from 5% to 10%, according to Ontyche.
If you're below the average, which is 3%, your ad needs improvements.
Ad Comparison: Bad vs. Good
Element | Bad Ad | Good Ad |
Title | General cleaning service | Residential Cleaning in Panama - Schedule Your Appointment Today |
Description | Quick and professional service | Leave your house spotless for only $25. Schedule via WhatsApp! |
Location | Does not mention area | Service available in San Francisco and surrounding areas |
CTA | None | Call now or message via WhatsApp |
Conclusion
If your ads aren't generating clicks, the issue isn't Google or your budget. It's the message you are using.
Correct that and you'll see how everything changes: more clicks, more visits to your website, and more sales.
